The Anti-Stigma Coalition took part in Broken World, A Mental Health Music Festival on August 1 which raised money for suicide prevention and created a space to grieve, heal, connect, and come together through music.
Presented by Matt Riley of Anti-Stigma Coalition Member Retune Marketing, the event featured a lineup of local bands and community organizations sharing information about mental wellness.
Matthew Smith, chair of the Anti-Stigma Coalition, presented facts about mental health and how stigma can prevent people from seeking help. Crisis Services and Breanna Lockhart, Mental Health Advocates from Niagara County, also participated.
“I am beyond grateful for the incredible people who came together to make Broken World – Buffalo Suicide Prevention Event possible,” said Riley.
“We had hundreds of people come out to help raise funds for @The Devin Waring Foundation Inc. and awareness for mental health resources. The Western New York Community came together to support suicide prevention.”
