Join us for a discussion on Wednesday, January 19 at 12pm, about the growing need for mental health support services in high schools and how families can start a conversation with a student who may be struggling. A panel of educators, clinicians and a high school student will share their stories and offer suggestions. The event is free and open to the public.
– More than 1 in 3 high school students had experienced persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness in 2019, a 40 percent increase since 2009.
– In 2019, approximately 1 in 6 youth reported making a suicide plan in the past year, a 44% increase since 2009.
