On Thursday, July 22, 2021, The Erie County Anti-Stigma Coalition hosted a Facebook Live event titled The State of Stigma: Understanding Mental Health in Older Adults.
According to the World Health Organization, “At least one in four older adults experiences some mental disorder, such as depression, anxiety, or dementia”
Our regular Facebook live events bring together experts from the mental health field and the broader community to share information about mental health topics and efforts to reduce stigma.
The panel discussion was hosted by Karl Shallowhorn, Chair of the Erie County Anti-Stigma Coalition and President of Shallowhorn Consulting.
