There are many misconceptions about bipolar disorder. Some people believe that the disorder is uncommon or it is simply a series of mood swings.

Bipolar disorder features cycles or episodes that last from weeks to months, unlike mood swings that pass rather quickly. Bipolar disorder often worsens without treatment, so it’s essential to learn about symptoms to reduce stigma and encourage people to seek help.

Danielle and Ashley will share their personal experiences with bipolar disorder.

This is the second in a series of Facebook Live events focused on a specific mental health disorder. Viewers will learn more about specific disorders, and can be more sensitive to the needs of the people in their lives who may be living with a mental health challenge.
