The State of Stigma
March 2025 — Dispelling the Myths of Bipolar Disorder
There are many misconceptions about bipolar disorder. Some people believe that the disorder is uncommon or it is simply a series of mood swings.
Bipolar disorder features cycles or episodes that last from weeks to months, unlike mood swings that pass rather quickly. Bipolar disorder often worsens without treatment, so it’s essential to learn about symptoms to reduce stigma and encourage people to seek help.
Danielle and Ashley will share their personal experiences with bipolar disorder.
