The State of Stigma

May 2025 — A Conversation About Anxiety

May 21, 2025 | 12 PM

Everyone experiences anxiety, but when is professional help needed? According to the National Institute of Mental Health, about 19% of adults in the U.S. have experienced anxiety in the past year, yet many people don’t seek treatment because of feelings of embarrassment, shame, weakness, a lack of understanding or belief they should be able to “snap out of it.” Join the Anti-Stigma Coalition for A Conversation about Anxiety Facebook Live on Wednesday, May 21 at noon.

Our experts will discuss treatment options, causes of anxiety, and how friends and family can guide their loved one on their healing journey.
