Meichle Latham, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, has joined the Anti-Stigma Coalition as Member Engagement and Outreach Coordinator. She will work with member organizations to promote stigma-free mental health advocacy.
Meichle has a diverse background of wellness-grounded services includes coaching, consulting and counseling for individuals, non-profit organizations, and community partners.
“I am grateful and enthusiastic for this opportunity to join the Anti-Stigma Coalition in its efforts to further expand and engage members in essential exchange of creative and meaningful strategies to systemically eliminate the stigma of mental illness—at the individual level, in the workplace, in collaboration with various sectors, and throughout Western New York,” she said.
In her new role, Meichle will recruit new members and work with current members to get greater involved with Coalition events.
She serves as a Practicum Educator with Daemen University’s Department of Social Work, as well as a mentor with the WNY Women’s Foundation’s Ready, Set, Lead program. Meichle is active with the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce, Town of West Seneca Youth and Recreation Commission, Southtowns Business Network, WNY Thrive, the Buffalo-Niagara Chapter of National Association of Women Business Owners, and Buffalo Niagara Partnership.
