Why did your organization join the Anti-Stigma Coalition?
Our organization joined the Anti-Stigma Coalition because we believe that mental health is just as important as physical health—and that no one should ever feel ashamed to reach out for help and resources. Stigma has long stood in the way of healing, understanding, and open conversation. By joining this Coalition, we’ve committed ourselves to breaking down those barriers and helping create a culture where mental well-being is prioritized and protected.
What is your organization doing to address stigma and share the message that it’s ok to speak up and seek help?
Horizon Health Services collaborates with community organizations because meaningful change doesn’t happen in isolation—it takes a network of committed partners working together toward a shared vision of wellness. By joining forces with schools, nonprofits, providers, local governments, and advocacy groups, we’re able to better understand the unique needs of our community and deliver services that are more inclusive, accessible, and effective.
These partnerships allow us to:
- Extend our reach into communities where stigma or systemic barriers may hinder access to care
- Leverage diverse expertise to create well-rounded, culturally competent approaches
- Support prevention and early intervention, not just treatment after a crisis
- Foster trust by meeting people where they are—in familiar settings, with familiar faces
- Promote sustainable solutions that reflect the realities of those we serve
When community organizations unite, the impact multiplies. Together, we create a fabric of support that uplifts individuals and families—not just through clinical services, but through education, advocacy, and empowerment.
At Horizon, we believe that building healthier communities starts with connection—and our collaborations are at the heart of that mission.
